Indoor Dog Park FAQs

What is an indoor dog park?

An indoor dog park is a weather-protected space where dogs can exercise, play, and socialize. Fido Fitness Club® offers a supervised, climate-controlled environment for safe, off-leash dog play throughout the year.

Is the indoor dog park supervised?

Yes. Our team supervises play and monitors how dogs interact. Dogs are thoughtfully grouped to help create a safer, more comfortable, and more enjoyable experience.

Are dogs separated by size?

Dogs are grouped using factors such as size, temperament, energy level, and play style. This helps us place dogs with compatible playmates instead of relying on size alone.

Is the indoor dog park climate controlled?

Yes. Our climate-controlled facility gives dogs a comfortable place to exercise during hot Long Island summers, cold winters, rain, snow, and other unfavorable weather.

What can dogs do inside the park?

Dogs can enjoy supervised off-leash play, exercise, social interaction, toys, enrichment activities, agility equipment, and opportunities to rest when needed.

Is the indoor dog park suitable for every dog?

Not every dog enjoys group play. Our team considers each dog’s behavior, temperament, comfort level, and experience around other dogs before determining the best environment for them.

Does my dog need an evaluation?

An evaluation may be required before your dog participates in group play. This gives our team an opportunity to understand your dog’s personality, play style, energy level, and comfort around other dogs.

Can I bring my dog during bad weather?

Yes. The indoor dog park allows dogs to enjoy exercise and socialization even when rain, snow, heat, cold, or humidity makes outdoor play difficult.

Doggy Daycare FAQs

What happens during doggy daycare?

Dogs enjoy a balanced day that may include supervised play, exercise, enrichment, social interaction, fresh water, personal attention, and comfortable rest periods.

What is the difference between the indoor dog park and doggy daycare?

The indoor dog park is the physical play environment where dogs exercise and socialize. Doggy daycare provides a complete day of supervised care that includes indoor play, enrichment, attention, and rest.

Will my dog play all day?

Dogs need a healthy balance between activity and rest. Our team provides breaks based on each dog’s age, energy level, comfort, and individual needs.

Can I bring food or treats for my dog?

Contact us before your visit to discuss food, treats, feeding instructions, allergies, and dietary needs. Clearly label anything you bring with your dog’s name and instructions.

Is fresh water available?

Yes. Fresh water is available throughout the day to help dogs remain comfortable and hydrated.

What should I bring for my dog’s first visit?

Ask our team about current requirements before arriving. You may need vaccination records, identification, a leash, feeding instructions, medications, emergency contact information, and completed registration forms.

What vaccinations are required?

Vaccination and health requirements help protect every dog in our care. Contact Fido Fitness Club® for the current list of required vaccinations and documentation before scheduling your first visit.

Can you administer my dog’s medication?

Contact us before your dog’s visit to discuss the medication, dosage, schedule, and administration instructions. Medication accommodations must be approved in advance.

How will you know if my dog is comfortable?

Our team watches each dog’s body language, behavior, energy, and interactions. We provide rest or adjust their activities when they appear tired, overwhelmed, or uncomfortable.

Can puppies attend doggy daycare?

Eligibility depends on the puppy’s age, vaccinations, health, behavior, and readiness for group play. Contact us to determine when your puppy can safely begin daycare.

Can senior dogs attend?

Senior dogs may be able to attend if the environment is appropriate for their health, mobility, temperament, and comfort. We recommend discussing your senior dog’s individual needs with our team.
